Rosalia
Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish pop singer and flamenco performer. Since the age of 13 she is a part of popular music and flamenco. Also, she has explored other genres like hip-hop soul and Trap. Her voice has been said by no less talented than Flamenco guitar player Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp however with a bit of bite similar to older versions. Her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough making it to the top of the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and finally winning the Grammy. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami included songwriting collaborations with numerous artists such as Cory Henry, James Blake and others. This set was released the month of March 2022, following an Saturday Night Live performance featuring the hit song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish singer to sing solo in the program. Motomami, Rosalia's album that won three Latin Grammy Awards also made Rosalia the first female singer to win an award for Latin Album of the Year win twice.
